Nuweiba means ‘Bubbling Springs’ in Arabic. It is 70 km south of Taba and 180 km north of Sharm El Sheikh and 120km from St. Katherine’s Monastery and Mount Sinai.
Nuweiba is divided into 3 parts. In the south the port, the town in the centre and to the north the bedouin area Tarabin.

The Yoga studio is on the beach between Africa camp and Green Beach in an area called The Small Duna, between the port and the town. Along this long, quiet strip of golden sands and turquoise sea there are coral reefs for diving and snorkeling, several beach camps and some medium to small hotels. From the beach in Nuweiba, you can watch the sun rise over the Hijaz mountains of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf of Aqaba. In the evening as the sun sets to the west and these mountains turn a beautiful pink colour. Beyond the studio and the town are the mountains and desert of South Sinai. A wonderful area to explore by either Jeep, camel or on foot. As well as safaris, The Yoga Studio arranges sun set mountain meditations.

Ferries run regularly from the port to Aqaba in Jordon. A visit to the historic site Petra is easily done from here.

The town has several inexpensive restaurants and tourist shops. It also has a hospital, mosques, garden cafes and shops catering for the resident population.

Buses are operated by GoBus and travel to and from Cairo, Sharm El Sheik, Dahab, Taba. The journey to Cairo takes about 9 hours. You can book on line. There is also a minibus service to and from Cairo that can collect you from the studio. A daily airline service from Sharm El Sheik to Cairo and many other parts of Egypt including Luxor.

If you arrive by plane in Sharm El Sheik, we will meet you at the airport and drive you to Nuweiba. Likewise if you are coming into Egypt from Israel, a car can meet you at the Sinai side of the Taba Crossing.
